Ganal said the company wants to switch to using the EBIT figure as its key financial benchmark. BMW has traditionally not disclosed the EBIT figure in its quarterly results but only the pretax profit, which this quarter was also heavily burdened by weak financial results. Ganal said at the same telephone conference that the company booked at 135 mln eur writedown from its derivative instruments compared with the 77 mln charged in the same quarter last year....
